Biz Kid Marketplace Returns to the Downtown Hayward Street Parties
We are thrilled to announce that the Biz Kid Marketplace will once again return to the Downtown Hayward Street Parties this summer:
Registration for each event is full. We are accepting waitlist applications.
Biz Kid Marketplace | Hayward Chamber of Commerce
June 18, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
July 16, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
August 20, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
To help support each young entrepreneur’s success, participation is limited to just 10 vendors per Street Party.
The Street Party Biz Kid Marketplace is open to youth vendors who have previously participated in Biz Kid programs or who already have experience selling at pop-up markets or community vendor events.
There is no cost to participate — we will provide the booth space and setup. Please review the registration forms for additional details and participation requirements.
A special thank you to our partners and sponsors, the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District and Amazon Web Services, for helping make this opportunity completely free for participating youth entrepreneurs.
Upcoming Event for Returning Biz Kids
This summer, we will also host a special networking and business development event for returning Biz Kids and youth entrepreneurs with prior marketplace experience. For those who are ready to formalize their business, we'll sponsor City of Hayward business licenses at this event.

New Biz Kid Cohort – Fall 2026
If you are new to the Biz Kid community and ready to begin developing a business idea, we invite you to join our new Biz Kid cohort. It launches at the end of summer, continues into the school year, and features a marketplace at a Hayward community event in December.
Participants will receive guidance in:
- Business idea development
- Product development and branding
- Event readiness and customer engagement
- Mentor sessions with local business owners
Biz Kid Podcast Opportunity
Calling all youth entrepreneurs interested in interviewing a local business owner!
Selected youth will help develop interview questions and conduct a live recorded interview that will be shared with the Hayward community.
Podcast recordings are tentatively planned for early Fall.
To apply, email bizkid@hayward.org and answer the following questions:
- What interests you about interviewing a business owner?
- What type of businesses or entrepreneurs would you most like to interview?
- Have you ever spoken in front of a group or on camera before?
- What is one question you would ask a business owner right now?
Students selected for the program will be notified in the coming weeks.
Call for Volunteers
Our Biz Kid team is made up of volunteers with full-time jobs and families who are passionate about supporting youth entrepreneurship in our community. We are currently looking for volunteers to assist with event support, mentor engagement, and exploring future opportunities for our entrepreneurs.
