Barbara Halliday gave her final State of the City address as mayor of Hayward at the annual June event hosted by the Hayward Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and City of Hayward on June 23.

The event was held at the downtown library and in attendance were chamber members and their guests and members of the public.

On hand to express their support for the event and Leadership Hayward were sponsors that included representatives of Waste Management of Alameda County, AC Transit, Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Calpine's Russell City Energy Center, Kaiser Permanente, PG&E, and the City of Hayward. Affiliate chamber groups participating included the Latino and Black business roundtables and Good Government Now.

The event was broadcast by the chamber on Facebook Live and will be distributed by the city on its website, YouTube Channel and social media sites.

Also featured at the event was distribution of the chamber's 2021-2022 annual report, by Penny Bonny of Jayne Design, that summarized the extraordinary activity of the chamber over the last fiscal year, and even lists more than 160 speakers at the chamber's varied committees, workshops and related events.
