Barbara Halliday gave her final State of the City address as mayor of Hayward at the annual June event hosted by the Hayward Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and City of Hayward on June 23.
Hayward City Council Member Mark Salinas has been endorsed for mayor, and planning commissioners Julie Roche and Dan Goldstein will be backed for city council seats as the result of deliberations by Good Government Now, the political action committee of the Hayward Chamber of Commerce.
The Hayward Chamber of Commerce endorsed candidates for mayor, city council and Hayward Unified School District board of education have been announced by the chamber's political action committee, Good Government Now! Good Government Now! is made up of representatives from the Hayward Chamber of Commerce’s 17-member board of directors and its 16-member Governmental Relations Council.
