In 2016, China was California’s third largest export destination, with approximately $14.4 billion in exports, according to the US State Department. US trade representatives report that China has been one of the world’s fastest growing economies over the past several years and its efforts to reform and modernize have helped transform China into a large trading economy.
Yang has 15 years of experience promoting international trade and investment for China. His specific expertise includes industries such as automobiles, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, new materials, and logistics. He has served as commercial counselor for the Consulate General’s office since November 2015.
Yang has been involved in promoting two-way investment and bilateral trade between China and the US. He has been meeting with entrepreneurs in both countries and bringing together companies, consulting firms, business associations and venture capital.
